3 Easy & Delicious Salad Recipes for Better Looking Skin

In addition to Cinco de Mayo and Memorial Day, May hosts yet another spectacular celebratory occasion. It’s officially salad month! But, if you’ve found salads just too boring to celebrate in the past, the Association for Dressings & Sauces (ADS) offers a number of ways to make this dish more tantalizing to your palate. Moreover, with the right combination, your salad can deliver healthier, more youthful skin.

The ADS has spotlighted the nutritional benefits of salad ingredients that you can toss together for a rejuvenating meal:

Romaine
Plenty of potassium, which can help lower blood pressure. Additional nutrients include folic acid, beta-carotene and vitamin C.

Bell Peppers
Loaded with vitamins A and C, and folic acid, a B vitamin that helps the body make healthy new cells.

Spinach
Rich in Vitamin K, which promotes bone health. It also includes vitamins A, B6, C and E, beta-carotene fiber, calcium and iron.

Tomatoes
Has lycopene, a cancer-fighting antioxidant, as well as vitamin C and some B vitamins. Try any of the various colors in your supermarket.

Broccoli
Broccoli boasts phytochemicals, substances found in produce that can help prevent heart disease and certain types of cancer. It also has vitamins A, C and K, calcium, folic acid and fiber.

Combine these foods with refreshing dressings and you can start fighting off wrinkles and age spots with your fork. Here are three simple and delicious recipes to inspire your own salad-driven beauty makeover. Each salad serves four.
