Pesto & Sausage Pasta


½-pound Angel hair pasta, uncooked
1-pound Hillshire® sausage, sliced
2-cups Broccoli florets
1-cup Sun dried tomatoes
7-ounces Pesto sauce (refrigerated best)
⅓-cup Grated Parmesan cheese
½-cup Pecans, chopped
½-teaspoon Salt
¼-teaspoon Pepper


Cook pasta according to directions on package in a medium pot. Add sausage, sun dried tomatoes, and broccoli to pasta during the last three minutes of cooking. Drain. Mix pasta mixture with pesto, chopped pecans, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper in a large serving bowl; mix well. Serve straight away.

Makes 5 servings

Note: I have tried this dish with all kinds of the Hillshire® sausage and they are all excellent. This is also excellent without the sausage for all the veggie lovers. I have also made this dish with pepperoni slices and Mozzarella cheese and walnuts. This is tasty as is, but it’s fun to change it up and experiment.
