Caviar was once a food reserved only for kings, czars and princes of Persia. But now, most regular people and commoners like you and me can afford to eat caviar. The belugas are caught and fisherman are able to take over two thousand pounds of caviar at a time. Despite this, beluga caviar remains the most expensive caviar in the world and one of the most cherished in the world.

Before beluga caviar, gold caviar was considered the greatest in the world. It still exists today but is so close to the brink of extinction that they are no longer fished for. Beluga sturgeon became the next best option and within a few years, fishermen have already driven these to the brink of extinction, but not yet to the extent that happened to the gold. Beluga can be bought there for about $250 with the same quality and quantity as in the United States. This type of caviar typically can be bought by foreigners visiting the country and bringing tins home, but it is much more hard to buy Kazakhstani beluga caviar online for that price. They know what the rest of the world is willing to pay and if you wont even come to their country to buy it in person, they’ll make you pay. Can you really blame them?

As you can see, it may be hard to get your hands on some fresh beluga caviar, but it is not impossible. If the price seems to be too high for you, remember that you get what you pay for and you will get something marvelous on your taste buds that you will not soon forget. One final piece of advice for anyone who buys any type of caviar: the best utensils to handle caviar should be made of mother of pearl, because metal utensils will alter the taste. As silly as it may sound, you can also use a plastic spoon if you don’t have any mother of pearl utensils. Yes, you just paid five grand for beluga caviar and you eat it off a plastic spoon that is sold in packs of one hundred for $1.99!
